Malawi National Association of the Deaf (MANAD) conducted a stakeholder’s workshop on the dissemination of the Malawian Sign Language Dictionary at Segacoa, Golden Peacock in Lilongwe on 2 December 2022.
MANAD invited a number of stakeholders to present the Malawian Sign Language Dictionary and to call for action towards the need for Sign Language to the deaf community as well as the whole Malawi. USAid, eKitabu, National Library Services, CBM and some of the key stakeholders participated on the workshop.
The vice speaker of parliament, Hon. Kazombo also participated on the stakeholder’s workshop and during the meeting, he called for action towards sign language by reaching out to more partners to join forces and offer full support to the deaf community.
