MANAD and Save the Children Malawi recently made a monitoring and Assessment visits to parents and caregivers of the Deaf children who received basic sign language training in Phalombe district last year to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the trainings provided by Malawi National Association of the Deaf – MANAD. The goal of the activity was to motivate them to continue practicing and assisting deaf child and learner’s thereby improving sign language use. The district Social Welfare Officers and MACOHA were part of the team.
