With support from the Finnish Association of the Deaf (Kuurojen Liitto ry), the Malawi National Association of the Deaf (MANAD) is conducting a training workshop on the Malawian Sign Language Dictionary (MSLD) website.

The training is taking place from 5 to 9 May 2025 at the MANAD Secretariat in Blantyre. It aims to equip MANAD staff with essential website skills to support the updating of new signs on the MSLD website.

Mikko Palo, an IT expert from Finland representing the Finnish Association of the Deaf, arrived in Malawi on Sunday, 4 May 2025, to lead the sessions.

The training is expected to enhance the capacity of the sign language research team and other participants in website management.

Participants include selected MANAD staffs and three IT-trained MANAD members.
