MANAD conduct capacity building training in some of the Districts

MANAD secretariat with the help of some members of the board have been visiting MANAD district committees. The aim of the visits were to build their capacity in organizational operations at the district level. As such the refresher training were conducted in the districts. During previous leadership training (that took place from 2012 to 2021), districts used to send two delegations to attend trainings. But this time the secretariat changed the approach, we had to meet 20-25 district leaders in their home districts. This approach proved helpful since many deaf members were able to express their views on the status of MANAD at their districts. The visits started in the month of September. The following districts were visited; Mulanje, Nsanje, Balaka, Nkhata Bay, Mzuzu, Kasungu, Ntchisi, Mchinji, Chikwawa and Mwanza.  In some districts MANAD members held leadership elections. This was because some committees overlived their mandate or their terms were due for elections. Women Wing and Youth Committees were created in some districts. Currently, youths and women empowerment is the key objective and goal of MANAD and its partners, FAD.
