National Executive Committee
The National Executive Committee (NEC) is a dynamic and dedicated group of elected representatives with a wealth of diverse experience. Working closely with our secretariat team, the NEC ensures we meet our members’ needs with fair, effective and timely collective bargaining, representation, advocacy and training.
The current team is headed by Mr Robert Mbendera and Deputised by Mr Charles Mtambo. They will serve their office for four years (2022-2025)
Robert Mbendera - Chairperson
Mr Robert Mbendera is the Current Board Chairperson, he demonstrate visionary leadership. He has been active in MANAD for the past 15 years. He is credited for the formation of Malawi sign language work group- a national grouping of deaf people responsible for sign language advocacy and esearch research.
Charles Mtambo - Vice Chairperson

Isaiah Mkwaila - Secretary
Isaiah Mkwaila is a disability activist who have been in the main stream for over 10 years. He has served in different capacities within manad estabilisment before being elected into board as Board Secretary. He have been lobbying for inclusion of sign language and deaf right. Key achievements include Youths participation and advocating deaf talents.
Lloyd Chilongo- Treasurer

Penjani Mwale - Member
