With the aim of bridging the communication gap between the deaf child and parents in various communities, MANAD conducted a stakeholder meeting in Phalombe district on 16 November 2023 where they emphasized on the need for the basic sign language knowledge especially to the stakeholders and to call for teamwork in promoting the education of the deaf child in the district. MANAD invited chiefs, parents, teachers, officials from the district commissioner and other stakeholders who were given copies of the Malawian Sign Language Dictionary at the end of the meeting.
