THE COMMEMORATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF SIGN LANGUAGES
Malawi National Association of the Deaf (MANAD) commemorates the International Day for Sign Languages under the theme “Sign Language unite us”. The event took place at Sakata community ground, T/A Mgagula in Zomba. During the event the Executive Director of ministry of disability and elderly affairs assures the nation that they will lobby for more trainings for interpreters at least 500 interpreters will be trained for sign language course as one way of raising awareness and influencing sign Language.
